Overview

Gym x Gains ("Gym x Gains", "we", "us") is a mobile app, part of the GoldenxGains suite, that helps you organize your workout routines, training sessions, diet, body measurements, water, and supplements, and connect with a community of other users. This policy covers the Gym x Gains mobile app and the backend that powers it. It also covers this page's own domain, app-gymxgains.goldenxgains.com — see "About this page" below for why that domain exists separately.

By creating an account or using Gym x Gains, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

• Account details: name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), or your Google/Apple account identifier if you sign in that way.
• Profile: an optional profile photo, and preferences like language, theme, and units (kg/cm or the equivalent).
• Training: the routines and exercises you build (supersets, alternatives, time mode, RIR), your live workout sessions, and your per-exercise weight history.
• Diet: your daily meal log with the matching macro snapshot, and the future diet plans you build.
• Progress: body measurements, water logs, and the supplements you add along with their intake log.
• Community activity: posts (which may include a snapshot of your routine or your diet), comments, likes, reports, and your participation in group challenges, including those challenges' chat.
• Support: the content of the emails you send us from Settings → Support, including account-deletion requests.

Information collected automatically

• Device and diagnostic information (device model, OS version, app version, crash reports and performance traces) collected through Sentry so we can find and fix bugs.
• A push-notification token, so we can deliver reminders (water, workouts, supplements) and alerts to your device.
• Basic online/last-active status.

Information from third parties

• If you sign in with Google or Apple, they share the basic profile information you authorize (typically your name and email) so we can create your account.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide the app's core features: your routines and workout sessions, your diet log and meal planning, and your tracking of measurements, water, and supplements.
• Send reminders and push notifications, and transactional emails (like a password reset) through our email provider, Resend.
• Show and moderate community content, and support group challenges (chat and rewards).
• Respond to the emails you send us through Support.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
• Diagnose crashes and performance issues through Sentry, and improve the app over time.

We don't use your data to serve third-party ads, and we don't sell your personal information.

Community Content

Posts, comments, and other content you share in Gym x Gains's community areas are visible to other users of the app, including any routine or diet snapshot you choose to include in a post. Don't post anything there that you wouldn't want to be seen by other members. You can report content you find inappropriate, and our team reviews reports through the moderation tools described in this policy.

How We Share Information

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers that help us run Gym x Gains, under agreements that limit how they can use your data: Resend (transactional email), Sentry (crash and performance monitoring), Expo (delivering push notifications), and the cloud providers that host our servers and database.
• With Google or Apple, only as part of the sign-in flow you choose to use.
• With other users, for the parts of the app that are inherently shared — community posts, comments, and your participation in group challenges.
• If required by law, to protect the rights, safety, or property of Gym x Gains, our users, or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case we'd tell you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy).

Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, so the app can keep working the way you expect. Account deletion isn't self-service inside the app today: from Settings → Delete account you can request it by email, and we process the deletion or anonymization of your personal data as part of handling that request, except for information we're required to keep longer for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

Your Rights and Choices

• Access and update most of your information directly in the app (profile, preferences, routines, diet, progress).
• Request that your account be deleted at any time from Settings → Delete account, which opens an email to support so we can process it together with your data.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct, restrict, or delete information we hold about you, from Settings → Support inside the app.
• If you're in a country with a data protection authority (for example, under the GDPR), lodge a complaint with that authority.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data: passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text, connections between the app and our servers are encrypted (HTTPS), sensitive data on your device is stored in the OS-level secure store, and you can turn on device biometric unlock for extra protection. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information protected.

Children's Privacy

Gym x Gains is not directed at children, and you must be at least 16 years old — or the minimum age required to consent to data processing in your country, if higher — to create an account. We don't knowingly collect information from children below that age; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

International Users

Gym x Gains is used by people around the world. Because of that, your information may be processed in a country other than the one you live in, which may have different data protection laws. Wherever we process your data, we apply the protections described in this policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Gym x Gains evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
